המנדולינה של רחלה
קונצרט מיוחד לזכרה של רחל זלמנוביץ'-אולבסקי ז"ל במלאת מאה שנה להולדתה, התקיים ב-7 באוקטובר 2021 במשכן תזמורת סימפונט רעננה.

לפני מאה שנים, ב-8 באוקטובר 1921, נולדה אמא שלנו, רחלה זלמנוביץ', בבנדין שבפולין. בבית הספר העממי למדה לנגן במנדולינה. היא הצילה את חייה כנגנית מנדולינה בתזמורת הנשים באושוויץ. היא השתחררה עם חברות התזמורת היהודיות ב-15.4.1945 בברגן-בלזן.

את הרעיון לקיים לזיכרה קונצרט מנדולינה העלינו בסוף 2020. בעקבות הקונצרט באוקטובר 2021, ששיחרר הרבה דמעות, געגועים וכאב אצל כולנו, אנו מבקשים לומר:

תודה לכם, קהל יקר.

תודה לכל החברים הנפלאים שלנו, שבאתם להיפרד שוב מרחלה.

תודה לכל החברים, שבאתם להכיר את רחלה.

תודה שבאתם לחגוג איתנו את נִיצְחון הרוח והמוסיקה.

תודה למשפחות שלנו, המבינות, המעודדות והאוהבות.

תודה לַמנצחת הצעירה והמדהימה קֶרֶן קגרליצקי, שהתעקשנו עלייך, כי מי עוד כמוך מתאימה לנצח באירוע כזה.

תודה לאמן המנדולינה, יעקב יקי ראובן מספרד, שניגנת עבורנו בצורה וירטואוזית על המנדולינה של רחלה ש"שתקה" 35 שנה, והצלחת להפיק ממנה את הבלתי אפשרי.

תודה לזמרת תום כהן. הקסמת אותנו.

תודה לכנר הראשי ניתאי צרי, שהפליא בצלילים מדהימים.

תודה לכל אחת ואחד מהנגנים ומהצוות המשרדי בסימפונט רעננה, התזמורת הנפלאה, החמה והמשפחתית הזו.

ותודה ענקית לאשה מופלאה, מנכ"לית הסימפונט, אורית פוגל-שפרן, שהובילה אותנו בצעדים בטוחים אל הערב הזה.

תודה לגַלִי אגיאשווילי שהכינה את המצגת במקצועיות ובסבלנות.

תודה לידיד יקר, מושיק טימור, על הקריינות הנפלאה.

תודה לאסף שמחה, שצילם עבורנו את סבתו הִילדֶה שִמחה בנֶצֶר-סֶרנִי.

תודה לג'קי ברמן על צילום ועריכת הסרט הזה.

ובעיקר תודה לרחלה, אמא שלנו, שהתעקשה בשקט בכל חייה על עקרונות אנושיים נעלים. את הרי לא היית רוצה שנעשה כזו מהומה סביבך…

והכי חשוב:

בלעדייך, אמא, כולנו לא היינו פה היום.

A special concert in memory of Rachela Zelmanowicz-Olewski on her 100 birthday was played on October 7, 2021, by the Ra'anana Symphonette, Israel. (For more in English, roll down)

One hundred years ago, on October 8, 1921, our mother, Rachela Zelmanowicz, was born in Bedzin (Bendin), Poland. In elementary school she learned how to play the mandolin. Thanks to playing the mandolin in the Auschwitz Women's Orchestra, her life was saved. She was liberated in 15.4.1945 in Bergen-Belsen with other girls of the orchestra.

We came up with the idea of ​​holding a special mandolin concert in her memory at the end of 2020. Following the concert, which woke up deep emotions, tears, longings and pain in all of us, we would like to say:

Thank you all the friends, who came to learn about Rachela.

Thank you for coming to celebrate with us the victory of spirit and music.

Thanks to the Virtuoso Mandolin Player, Jacob Yaki Reuven from Spain, who played for us so emotionally on Rachela's mandolin. You succeeded to bring back to life Rachela's Mandolin with amazing sounds.

Thanks to Tom Cohen. You charmed us with your singing.

Thanks to the first violinist Nitai Zori, who played marvelously on the violin.

Thanks to each and every one of the musicians and devoted office staff at the Ra'anana Symphonette, this wonderful, warm and family orchestra.

And huge thanks to Orit Fogel-Shafran, a wonderful woman, the general manager of the Symphonette, who led us wisely, with a sensitive determination, to this evening.
