חברי ארגון שארית הפליטה היקרים, אריה היקר,
בלב כבד ובצער עמוק אנו מתכנסים כקהילה להיפרד מחברתנו המוערכת, יוכי ריץ-אולבסקי. ברגעים אלה של אבל משותף, נראה כי מילים לבדן אינן מספיקות כדי לתפוס את עומק החלל שהותירה עזיבתה בליבנו.
מאמציה הבלתי נלאים של יוכי בתחום זיכרון השואה לא היו פעולות בלבד אלא פסוקים בשיר בלתי כתוב, עדות למסירותה הבלתי מעורערת ותשוקתה לשמור על קולם של הניצולים והדי ההיסטוריה. השפעתה, כמו שטיח ארוג דק, התעלתה מעל דפי ההיסטוריה המשותפת שלנו ושזורה במהות הקהילה שלנו.
הקשר שלנו עם יוכי היה יצירת מופת ספרותית, ידידות גדולה חדורת נאמנות ומסירות. היעדרותה מותירה אחריה פרק נוקב וחלל שאין לו תחליף.
בעודנו מנווטים בין גלי הצער העצובים הללו, הבה נמצא נחמה באחדות המחברת אותנו יחד. מורשתה של יוכי אינה סיפור על אובדן אלא אוֹדָה לפעילותה, תזכורת לכך שגם לנוכח עצב עמוק, המחויבות המשותפת שלנו לזיכרון ולאחדות יכולה להיות מגדלור של אור.
מי ייתן שנישא כוח אחד מהשני בתקופה מאתגרת זו. האבל המשותף שלנו הוא ביטוי רב עוצמה להשפעה שהייתה ליוכי על חיינו ועל הקהילה שלנו.
אנו שולחים את תנחומינו העמוקים לאחיה אריה ולכל המשפחה. מי ייתן וכוחם של קשרי המשפחה יאיר אור בתקופה קשה זו.
שתהיה נפשה צרורה בצרור החיים.

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we come together as a community to bid farewell to our esteemed friend, Jochi Ritz-Olewski. In these moments of shared grief, words alone seem insufficient to capture the depth of the void her departure has left in our hearts.
Jochi’s tireless efforts in the realm of Holocaust remembrance were not mere actions but verses in an unwritten poem, a testament to her unwavering dedication and passion to keep the voices of survivors and the echoes of history alive. Her influence, like a finely woven tapestry, transcended the pages of our shared history and intertwined with the essence of our community.
Our connection with Jochi was a literary masterpiece, a grand friendship imbued with loyalty and devotion. Her absence leaves behind a poignant chapter and an irreplaceable void.
As we navigate through these melancholic waves of sorrow, let us find solace in the unity that binds us together. Jochi’s legacy is not a tale of loss but an ode to action, a reminder that even in the face of profound sadness, our shared commitment to memory and unity can be a beacon of light.
