לראשונה בתולדות ארגון שארית הפליטה ברגן-בלזן בישראל ומאז הקמתו ב-1950, נבחרה אשה לעמוד בראשו, והיא גם ילידת מחנה העקורים עצמו.
יוכי ריץ-אולבסקי עומדת מינואר 2022 בראש הארגון הזה, הגדול מסוגו בעולם, ובוודאי בישראל. הארגון הפעיל מונה כ-450 חברות וחברים, מדור ראשון של הניצולים עצמם, ילידי מחנה העקורים ובני הדורות השני, השלישי והרביעי. יוכי גם עורכת ראשית של כתב העת הבינלאומי של הארגון – “הקול שלנו”, המופץ בכל העולם.
יוכי ריץ-אולבסקי
ילידת מחנה העקורים ברגן-בלזן, גרמניה, מרס 1947. עלתה לישראל עם הוריה באפריל 1949.
יו”ר ארגון שארית הפליטה ברגן-בלזן בישראל (בהתנדבות), ונציגה במועצה הבין-לאומית לאתרי הזיכרון במדינת נידרזקסן בגרמניה. עורכת ראשית של כתב העת הבינלאומי “הקול שלנו”.
יוכי היא בתם של ניצולי שואה ששוחררו והתחתנו בברגן-בלזן: רחלה זלמנוביץ’-אולבסקי – שניגנה על מנדולינה בתזמורת הנשים באושוויץ; ורפאל אולבסקי – עיתונאי וסופר, ניצול בונה-אושוויץ, מבכירי המנהיגים של ניצולי ברגן-בלזן ובעבר היו”ר המיתולוגי של ארגון שארית הפליטה ברגן-בלזן בישראל.
דודיה של יוכי היו דב זלמנוביץ’, מפקד תנועת ביתר בבנדין, פולין, שנרצח לאחר מרד הזונדרקומנדו באושוויץ; והרב ישראל-משה אולבסקי, “הרב מצֶלֶה”, ששיקם את חיי הדת של קהילת יהודי צֶלֶה (ליד הנובר), גרמניה, לאחר השואה.
השכלה:
תואר שני במינהל ציבורי ו-B.A. בספרות אנגלית ותרבות צרפתית.
הייתה סגנית דיקן ללימודים אקדמיים באוניברסיטה הפתוחה בישראל עד שפרשה לגמלאות ב-2014.
מגורים: רעננה
באפריל 2020 נפטר בעלה עודד ריץ, מומחה מבריק להייטק וממייסדי יחידה 8200 בחיל המודיעין, שנפטר ב-2020.
יוכי היא אם ל-3 יְלָדִים:
איילת, יועצת ארגונית, נשואה, אם ל-3 בנות: מאיה, נועם ושירה;
רונית, M.Sc. ניהול הנדסת תעשייה, נשואה ואמא לעמית, עידו ודניאלה;
אורי, B.Sc. ניהול הנדסת תעשייה, נשוי ואב לרן וגל.
בהנהלה (בהתנדבות) של ארגון שארית הפליטה ברגן-בלזן בישראל מכהנות 5 נשים מתוך צוות של שמונה.
For the first time in the history of the Bergen-Belsen Sherit Hapleta organization in Israel and since its establishment in 1950, a woman has been appointed to head it, and she is also a Bergen-Belsen DP camp born.
Jochi Ritz-Olewski is now the chairperson of this organization, the largest of its kind in the world, and certainly in Israel. The active organization numbers about 450 members, first generation of the survivors themselves, and members of the second, third and fourth generations. Jochi is also the editor-in-chief of the organization’s international journal – “Our Voice”, which is distributed all over the world.

Born in Bergen-Belsen, Germany, March 1947. Immigrated to Israel in April 1949 with her parents.
Chairperson of Bergen-Belsen Survivors Organization in Israel. She is also a member of the International Board of Niedersachsen Memorials Foundation [Stiftung niedersaechsische Gedenkstaetten].
M.A. in Public Management Administration, and B.A. in English Literature & French Culture.
She was Vice-Dean of Academic Studies at the Open University of Israel until retired in 2014.
Residence: Ra’anana, Israel
She was married to Odded, a Hi-Tech expert of Computer Science, who passed away in 2020.
Children:
Ayelet, Organizational Consultant, married, mother of 3 daughters: Maya, Noam and Shira;
Ronit, M.Sc. Industrial Engineering Management, married and mother of Amit, Ido and Daniela;
Uri, B.Sc. Industrial Engineering Management, married and father of Ran and Gal.
Jochi is the daughter of Holocaust survivors who were liberated in Bergen-Belsen: Rachela Zelmanowicz-Olewski – who played the mandolin in the women’s orchestra in Auschwitz; and Rafael Olewski – a survivor of Buna-Auschwitz, one of the top leaders of Bergen-Belsen survivors and past Chairman of Bergen-Belsen Survivors Organization in Israel; journalist and author.
Jochi’s uncles were Dov Zelmanowicz, commander of Beitar movement in Bendin, Poland, who was murdered after the Sonderkomando revolt in Auschwitz; And Rabbi Israel-Moshe Olewski, “The Celler Rabbi”, who reconstructed the religious life of the Jewish Community of Celle (near Hannover), Germany, after the holocaust.
