שגריר גרמניה בישראל, הדיפלומט המתנחמד שטפן זייברט, הודה בראיון [13.11.25] למגזין N12 כי "יש גל אנטישמיות חדש שלא העלינו על הדעת שיקרה לעולם". [מדובר על גרמניה החדשה, כן?]
ומה חושב על כך השגריר? הוא מאותגר ומבוייש… "היו מקרים ומתקפות ודברים עלולים לקרות שוב. אנחנו חייבים לקחת את זה ברצינות רבה. זה מאתגר אותנו, בליבת קיומנו כחברה, כי אנטישמיות היא רעל. וכשזה קורה בגרמניה, זה אפילו יותר מביש" .
וכך נכתב במגזין: "גל האנטישמיות ששטף את העולם לאחר 7 באוקטובר לא פסח על גרמניה, שאומנם חרטה על דגלה את המאבק בתופעה לאחר השואה, אך הפכה לפחות ופחות בטוחה ליהודים בשנתיים האחרונות. מאותו יום נורא לפני שנתיים נרשם זינוק אדיר במספר התקריות האנטישמיות, ולפי הרשויות בגרמניה יותר מ-8,000 תקריות אנטישמיות של אלימות, ונדליזם ואיומים תועדו ב-2024 – פי שניים מהנתון ב-2023, ופי ארבעה מ-2020. מפלגת הימין הקיצוני AfD צוברת תמיכה אדירה בקרב הקהל הגרמני, ונתפסת בעיני רבים כממשיכת דרכה של התנועה הנאצית. מהצד השני של המפה הפוליטית, השמאל הקיצוני בגרמניה ורבות מהקהילות המוסלמיות שבה מהווים גם הם כר פורה לאנטישמיות. בין שני הקצוות העוינים האלו נמצאים יהודי גרמניה".
שטפן זייברט הוא דיפלומט מקצוען לעילא. אסור לטעות במאמצי ההתחבבות שלו בישראל. כשזה לא נוח לו, הוא יפעל לאו דווקא כחובב ציון. גם בראיון הוא כבר מטיף לנו מוסר ומשחיל את דעתו כיצד עלינו להתנהל בארץ שלנו. ודעתו אינה אישית: גרמניה מדברת מגרונו.
לכן, מאחר שפנינו אליו השנה לסייע לנו להשמיע את קולנו בטקס 80 שנה לשחרור ברגן-בלזן ונענינו בשלילה מצידו, ולאחר הראיון הזה, מצאנו לנכון להגיב בתגובה זו:

The German ambassador to Israel, the trying to be nice diplomat Steffen Rüdiger Seibert, admitted in an interview [11/13/25] with N12 magazine that “there is a new wave of anti-Semitism that we never imagined would happen.” [We are talking about the new Germany, right?]

Since that terrible day two years ago, there has been a huge jump in the number of anti-Semitic incidents, and according to the German authorities, more than 8,000 anti-Semitic incidents of violence, vandalism and threats were recorded in 2024 – twice the figure in 2023, and four times that of 2020. The far-right AfD party is gaining enormous support among the German public and is seen by many as continuing the path of the Nazi movement. On the other side of the political map, the far-left in Germany and many of its Muslim communities also constitute a fertile ground for anti-Semitism. Between these two hostile extremes are Germany's Jews."
Steffen Seibert is a total professional diplomat. There is no mistaking of his efforts to endear himself to Israel. When it is not convenient for him, he will not necessarily act as a Zionist. Even in this interview, he already preaches morality to us and instills his opinion on how we should conduct ourselves in our country. And his opinion is not personal: Germany speaks from his throat.
Therefore, since we approached him this year to help us make our voice heard at the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen and received a negative response from him, and after this interview, we found it appropriate to respond with this response:

Define hypocrisy… The trying to be so cute ambassador adopted amazing neutrality when the Lower Saxony authorities prevented the voices of Bergen-Belsen survivors from being heard at the memorial site in Germany for the past two years. So it is enough to cry in surprise about anti-Semitism in Germany. In this context, he can shake hands with our exalted ambassador in Germany, who was also asked to help and, much to our disappointment, blew us away big time. We will not forget and we will not be forgive!
