אחיי ואחיותיי, חברותיי וחבריי,
תם פרק כואב של חטופינו החיים והמתים בעזה. תם – ולא נשלם.
סבלם של החיים ויגונן של משפחות החללים, יחד עם משפחות חללי כוחות הביטחון, לא ייתם. רבים מהם חווים חוויות קשות. אנו מכירים על בשרנו את הלם השחרור, את הטיפול בפצעים הגופניים והנפשיים, את ההתמודדות עם האובדן ואת הניסיונות להשתקם ולחזור לחיים. הורינו וחלק מחברותינו וחברינו הניצולים עברו את התופת הנאצית ושוחררו לפתע ביום אחד לגורלם. לא כולם שרדו את החזרה לחיים.
זוועות הטבח של 7 באוקטובר והחטיפות מזכירות לכולנו את תקופת השואה. זהו נושא, שאנשים הקשורים להנהלת ברגן-בלזן של היום, אינם מסוגלים להבין – ואף לא יבינו. הם מייצגים גרמנים שלא השתנו באמת; הם אוהבים להפריד יהודים מישראליותם, ואינם מבינים שלא ניתן להפריד בין אנטי-ישראליות לאנטישמיות.
הגרמנים הללו ומשתפי הפעולה שלהם ייכנסו להיסטוריה כאויבי ניצולי בלזן ומשפחותיהם.
לעם ישראל יש סבלנות ארוכת שנים – וגם לנו. ברגן-בלזן שייך לנו. הפקידים שם משחקים על זמן שאול.
בשם כל חברות וחברי הארגון אני מאחל לכולנו חזרה לחיים טובים יותר. מגיע לנו.
מי ייתן החלמה נפשית וגופנית מלאה ומהירה לכל יקירינו שחוו את התופת העזתי.
אנו נוריד עתה, בהתרגשות רבה, את סמל החטופים מאתר הארגון.
עוד יבואו ימים טובים – אנחנו בטוחים.

My brothers and sisters, dear friends and members,
A painful chapter concerning our hostages—both the living and the dead—in Gaza has come to an end. It has ended, but it is not complete.
The suffering of the survivors and the grief of the bereaved families, together with the families of fallen members of the security forces, will not simply fade. Many are undergoing extremely difficult experiences. We know firsthand the shock of liberation, the treatment of physical and emotional wounds, the struggle with loss, and the attempts to rehabilitate and return to life. Our parents and some of our fellow survivors endured the Nazi inferno and were suddenly released to their fate on a single day. Not all survived the return to life.
The horrors of the massacre of October 7 and the abductions remind us all of the Holocaust period. This is a reality that those associated with today’s management of Bergen-Belsen are incapable of understanding—and never will. They represent Germans who have not truly changed; they like to separate Jews from their Israeli identity and do not understand that anti-Israel sentiment cannot be separated from antisemitism.
These Germans and their collaborators will go down in history as enemies of the Bergen-Belsen survivors and their families.
The Jewish people possess patience forged over many years—and so do we. Bergen-Belsen belongs to us. The officials there are playing for borrowed time.
On behalf of all the members of the organization, I wish us all a return to better lives. We deserve it.
May all our loved ones who endured the Gaza inferno be granted full and swift physical and emotional recovery.
With great emotion, we will now remove the symbol of the hostages from the organization’s website.
Better days will yet come – we are certain.
