יקירינו משוחררי ברגן-בלזן,
לקראת יום השחרור ה-80 של מחנה ברגן-בלזן,
אנו שולחים לכם שי סימלי: עץ זית ישראלי.
הזית הוא תבנית נוף ארץ ישראל, המקום שאליו
שאפתם להגיע ובו שיקמתם את חייכם.
לזית יש שורשים עמוקים באדמה, והוא מפצה על
השורשים שלכם, שנקרעו בידי המשטר הנאצי.
הזית הוא גם סמל של בשורה ושל שלום.

השכלתם לטעת בישראל שורשים חדשים
ולהקים משפחות נפלאות. כולנו מביטים בכם
בהערכה רבה, ומאחלים לכם בריאות טובה
ונחת מיקיריכם.

In honor of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen camp, which falls on April 15, 2025, the organization's board presented a symbolic and special gift to survivors in Israel: a small olive tree.

The special tree was accompanied by a greeting:

April 15, 1945 – April 15, 2025

Dear Bergen-Belsen survivors,

On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen camp,

we are sending you a symbolic gift: an Israeli olive tree.

The olive tree is the landscape of the Land of Israel, the place to which you aspired to reach and where you rebuilt your lives.

The olive tree has deep roots in the earth, and it compensates for your roots, which were torn apart by the Nazi regime.

The olive tree is also a symbol of good news and peace.

You have been wise to plant new roots in Israel and to establish wonderful families.

We all look up to you with great appreciation, and wish you good health and joy from your beloved ones.
